OATA Volunteer/Committee Opportunities

Volunteers are ALWAYS welcome!!  We are always looking for committee members to help with OATA initiatives.  If you are a member of OATA or just interested in learning more about art therapy and getting involved with the Association contact president@oata.ca. 

We are actively seeking professional or registered members for:

  • Education Committee 
  • Membership Committee


Next year is a Conference year so potential volunteers with the Education Committee may have the opportunity to help with planning and facilitating the Conference. 

We are actively seeking volunteers for data entry for the new website.  If you are interested please contact membership@oata.ca




OATA Board Opportunities

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

The OATA Board of Directors is in immediate need of 2 more volunteers to fill vacant positions on the Board. The positions open are TREASURER, COMMUNICATIONS CHAIR  


PLEASE CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING YOUR TIME


These would be temporary positions until our 2019 AGM (May), at which time if you wanted to continue (and are a professional or registered OATA member) you would be eligible to be voted onto the Board of Directors for a 2 year term.  The current Board members are easy to work with and will be as helpful as possible!

Here is a very brief summary of the roles:

Treasurer

-Keeps track of our bank account.

-Receives and deposits incoming payments.

-Pays OATA expenses and invoices by cheque.


Communications Chair

-Takes care of the OATA Website, working in tandem with our webmaster.

-Produces and publishes “Tapestry”, the OATA online newsletter.

-Coordinates & communicates with the Public Relations Chair.
