Events, Conferences and Workshops

OATA has a mandate to provide opportunities for continued learning and education for our members. Toward this end OATA holds Conferences on a bi-annual basis and Annual General Meetings on an annual basis through-out Ontario. These conferences and AGM’s are a chance not only to network with other art therapists but also to ensure competence and continued learning and may be used toward quality assurance with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Annual General Meetings are important to the running of OATA and the policies, standards and initiatives advocated by the board for its members. AGM’s are also when board elections take place and the membership votes for who they believe is the best fit to represent them and their interests. AGM’s are a chance to provide input, influence what the board pursues and learn about the current projects the board has taken on.
